I'm enjoying the story, but I can't pin down when it's happening. There are conflicting clues.



The twins come down with MORFS on the first day of the story, and the battle on the island is about a month later. The cliff-hanger situation at the end of part 7 is a few days later. Fine so far.



The day of the island battle is identified as 'a beautiful morning in early July', and as Independence Day, AND as the twins' birthday. The Wiki says their birthday is 21 April, not 4 July. On top of that, at the start of the story they're scrimaging with their friends on the football team; before they go home, they wish the team good luck at the Rose Bowl.



IIRC, the Rose Bowl is always held in January. Unless it's delayed for an even more interminable football season, it's a lot more than a month before either of the above dates.



Any chance of clarifying the time-line?
