Also this phenomenon is explained further in Feral.
Though it is a known fact among writers and readers it is kept quiet in the universe. It is not common knowledge, since all kinds of nutcases would try to create all kinds of supersoldiers or terrorists.

If you read Ray Drouillard's 'Better Later Then Never' and 'Journey to Humanity' you'll see 3 cases of Adult MORFs. The Doctor's Martin are the first two adults to go through it due to their close work with the virus' that cause it while tring to induce it in themselves so they can be with and interact with their kids. The third case is the mother of a daughter who both get kid napped and stoned. It's never stated straight out how or why the mother got MORFs, but both the daughter and mother had open wounds from being stoned and their blood mixed. The recently MORF'd daughters blood would have given the active virus to the mother. In Chapter one of this story one of the men fires his weapon hitting a young cat hybrid in the shoulder before the bullet lodges into the main characters brain only doing enough damage to cause him, now her, to lose their memory. The blood transfer from the girl, assuming she had just gone through MORFs which she obviously did since the main character got it, caused the on set of MORFs in him as well.

The one thing I do not like about some of the M2F stories is that everyone runs over what the former male thinks or wants. Or that they almost automatically start thinking 'Oh, I am a girl, so I like boys!' I enjoy seeing her say 'forget you and your pink crap!' It would be nice if she didn't fall into the 'Oh, I like boys now!' category. Just because the body changes does not mean that the minds likes and dislikes change. Look at the way she looks at cloths. And it is almost evil the way other people want to push their idea of what she should wear, how her hair should look, or if she is pierced or not. I hope she does stand up for herself and not feel so guilty about doing it. She WAS a grown Caucasian man after all. If someone was trying to buy me something that I hated, and wouldn't listen to me and what I think, I would sure find a way to destroy it and say 'put it on my tab. when I get a job, I will reimburse you. you didn't listen to how I feel, so I don't care how you feel.'

It's not too hard to tell that, in this case, 'Byakko' is Japanese for 'white tiger'. I like it, and I like the story. But, I can't help wondering why nobody has mentioned that the amnesia patient has the same MORFology as a gunshot victim. The database should be waving red flags about that, even if they're in different hospitals. Even if the GSW said, 'It's just a flesh wound!', bypassed the doctor, and left it to her fast healing, her MORFology would still be in the database.

Hey! Another chapter has arrived. Yay!

It looks like Kumiko's former self is expressed at least subconsciously. Her military training should come in handy for fights. I just hope she can control herself.

It'll be nice if she can start regaining her memories. Then perhaps she can train Storm and they can be a dynamic duo, fighting crime and all that. hehe

Thanks and please keep writing [both of you].
