The story is slightly boring. There is no conflict, no one has character development, and everything is just dropped into the main character's lap without him doing anything. What makes it worse is that all the things that happen do so for no reason, and have never happened before. It all happens because he's Just So Special. You just wrote a Gary Stu.

Incomplete Without…parts 3, 4, and etc. I too thought immediately of Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders; this story takes the idea of a telepathic bond, if it was inspired from the Pern series, in a completely different direction [besides, there's no Red Star, Oort Cloud, nor Thread]. It demonstrates that a 'Sweet and Sentimental' story [as they are classed on Crystal's Story Site], one without overly dramatic amounts of tension and conflict, or 'bad guys', can still be interesting and enjoyable. Heroic tales of protagonists overcoming the odds and the opposition certainly have their place but, without stories like this to balance them out, the imagination space of life becomes too dark and grim. I too hope the story will be completed and, additionally, the sweet and loving atmosphere can be maintained.

I read it! I read part 2. Yay!

Brenda is a nice addition to the story. She'll add a lot of depth, even though she's filled a couple holes. *giggle*

I like the way the dragons and humans get along. It makes for a very interesting contrast between the two species.

I especially liked the last part where Brenda and Marvin could 'see' how they used to think about each other. That would be so cool. *sigh*

Thanks and please tell me more is on the way.

I don't know the circumstances of you existence, and considering that it has been so many years since 'Incomplete Without You' has been posted that you have abandoned it but it would be nice if the story were finished.

Thought I'd leave my own comment. Very much a cool story. It's got what is effectively a Dragon Rider in it. And it had a reference to Eragon, which is another plus in my book. A nice read all around. Though for some reason it at least seems to be of lesser quality when compared to your other stories. It just seems to have less detail to some of the things. Woulda been nice if it was longer/had more to it. That's just my opinion though. Despite the shortness of it, I definitely liked reading it, and now have an image in my head of Marvin getting a mark like Eragon has, only along his entire arm. Don't know why though, other than a slightly overactive imagination. Anyway, very nice read. Keep up the great work and update soon!

Hiya Ray.

I've sent you private comments but since you were kind enough to leave comments for my story, I thought I'd return the favor.

I've been wondering about prejudice in the dragon community. I'd like to see their reaction to the association with humans. Perhaps some aren't so friendly. Maybe others are overly friendly.

I love the whole gestalt thing going on between the main character and the dragon. It's a very interesting idea and I hope you're able to add to it soon. Please keep it up.
